Geisel Honor Book creator Milgrim (Go, Otto, Go!, 2016) returns with another alien- and robot-filled easy reader. Here green-headed extraterrestrial Zip zaps his antenna to create a robot, which he promptly orders about: "âGet me tea,' Zip tells his bot. âMake it mint, and make it hot!'" There's a glitch, however, for the machine returns with a pie, which it pitches into Zip's eye. Annoyed, Zip tries to destroy his creation, but his repeated zaps only multiply the bot. What to do? Make tea, of course, and enjoy all that lovely pie. Brief, predictable text combines with simple comic-style art to create a satisfying story of technology gone amok. Purples, greens, and mauve predominate, while expressive eyes convey a range of emotions. Smart, sassy, and fun. Preschool-Grade 1. Copyright 2019 Booklist Reviews.
